In 1994, she earned an MFA in sculpture from California College of the Arts in Oakland. Starting in 1991, Cerrito has worked in galleries and art consulting firms in the San Francisco Bay Area as manager, assistant to the director and art consultant. In 2004, she founded Chandra Cerrito / Art Advisors, in Napa, CA, which helps create collections for corporate, hospitality and health care clients. In addition, Cerrito is a public art advisor, working with property owners, developers and cities to manage public art projects or develop public art policy.
Since 2003, Cerrito has been an independent curator, creating exhibitions for institutions such as Dorsky Curatorial Programs in Long Island City, NY, di Rosa in Napa, and the Sonoma Museum of Contemporary Art and Sonoma County Museum, both in Santa Rosa. In 2005, she founded Contemporary Quarterly, a quarterly fine art publication and web-based virtual exhibition space. Currently, she is the curator at the David Brower Center in Berkeley.
Chandra Cerrito Contemporary is a gallery located in downtown Oakland’s arts district. Established in 2007, it features exhibitions and site-specific installations that highlight exceptional regional and national artists, with an emphasis on conceptual strength, refined craftsmanship, contemporary vision and art historical relevance. The gallery is an active member of the San Francisco Art Dealers Association and Oakland Art Murmur. It has participated in international art fairs in Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. Cerrito is a board member of the San Francisco Art Dealers Association and a member of Americans for the Arts, the Public Art Network and the Northern California Public Art Administrators Network.

Tominia earned a BA in art history with a focus on contemporary art from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where she minored in fine art with a concentration in sculpture and philosophy. Early on, Tominia carved her way as a fine artist, having been awarded “First in Show” from the Visual Arts Department for her senior exhibition, and invited to show her work in local and international art spaces such as Eyedrum Gallery in Atlanta and Studenthaus Wagner in Jena, Germany. Her mixed media installation was featured in the exhibition, Here Kitty Kitty at Nexus Contemporary Art Center in Atlanta alongside renowned artists Carolee Schneemann and William Wegman. Tominia was also a member of a contemporary art issues group of professional artists, writers and curators that met monthly at Nexus, where she later interned in the curatorial department. She brings to her art consulting projects extensive experience building professional relationships with artists and years of assisting clients from private individuals and corporations to museums, with the acquisition of art for their collections.
She received a BA in Liberal Arts from Loyola Marymount University, and after working for galleries in Los Angeles for four years, she founded her own gallery, den contemporary, in 2005. Representing artists primarily based throughout the U.S., the gallery featured a variety of media including painting, works on paper, sculpture, installation, video, and performance art. Den contemporary also presented the first U.S. gallery solo or group exhibition for international artists from Colombia, Iceland, India, and Yugoslavia. The gallery was selected as “1 of 50 Emerging Galleries From Around the World” in the London-based magazine Contemporary, and participated in art fairs in Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Diego, and San Francisco.
Napper previously held the position of Curator and Director of Public Programs for the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, working on exhibitions featuring works by established artists such as Jim Campbell and Bruce Conner, and notable Bay Area–based artists Terry Berlier, Val Britton, Naomie Kremer, and Amy M. Ho. Napper curated the ICA’s first solo exhibition for an international artist, which featured a large-scale, site-specific installation by Leyla Cardenas from Bogota, Colombia. In 2015, she created ICA Live!, the organization’s first ongoing program of participatory and interactive sound and art performances.
She was invited to serve as exhibition curator and juror for several non-profit art organizations and universities throughout Los Angeles and the Bay Area, among which are Djerassi Artist Residency Program, Root Division, Verge Center for the Arts, Pacific Art League, Pacific Rim Sculptors, and Silicon Valley Arts Council Artist Laureate Award. She has participated in artist critiques at Stanford University, California College of the Arts, San Jose State University, Los Angeles Art Association, and Azusa Pacific University. Napper is a Founding Member of Contemporary Craft Council for the Craft and Folk Art Museum in LA.
